Candy folders

Here is a picture Of the folders I made To accompany the PIF candy I sent out
To Bee, Claire and Gayle. They are great and can hold several stamped images. I got the idea for them when I recieved one from Noleen at www.noodlesoflove.blogspot.com .
They look so pretty when they are done and they are so simple to make.

Second hand Stamp sale

Today I have been to my local craft shop as they were holding a second hand stamp sale. They do this once or twice a year. People take their stamps that they no longer want anymore and the shop sells them for a small commission. It's a great idea and a great chance to get some lovely stamps at a reduced price. I have sold my stamps like this before but today was my first time going to buy. Boy was it exciting (couldn't sleep last night lol) I know a lot of people think i'm mad but that's because they haven't caught the crafting bug!!(yet). This is a picture of the lovely stamps I got. The great thing is the whole lot only cost me £28.00 what FAB value!

Now I can't wait to use them all.

Have a great weekend everyone. Hope you haven't got this awful rain where you are. It has been tipping down in Paignton for hours.

The finished product!

Candle Tutorial

As Promised here is the candle tutorial. Firstly Stamp your chosen image onto White tissue paper with Stazon ink.
Then colour your image in using your prefered method. If using whisper pens be careful not to get the tissue to wet. I use Whisper pens or dry watercolor pencils.
Next trim around your image and lay onto the candle.
Wrap the candle with grease proof paper.
Then gently heat with a heat gun. You will notice the image slowly change color and the wax slightly melts and takes in the tissue paper. Then gently remove the grease proof paper. (not tissue paper this will have melted into the wax)
And there you are, I also use stickles to then decorate the image. If you need any further info please mail me on maricardmaking@hotmail.co.uk please see next post for finished candle.

A couple of cards. I adore the sugarnellie stamps. They are sooo cute.

These are the lovely birthday presents I recieved from my DH and my sons.
I have wanted these stacks for ages.
