Happy Halloween...

Good morning everyone, Happy Halloween to you all. Hope the sun is shinning where you are today. In devon it is bright and sunny but quite cold. Well enough with the weather outlook lol. This is a card I have made for my son to give to a little girl from his class. She is 8 today and she is having a birthday / Halloween party today. So I thought I would make her a spooky card! I have used stickles around the spider and on the little dog but it doesn't show in the pic.

Pink Christmas Card

Thought I would try to make a card without using a rubber stamp. So instead I used the Die cut Christmas trees from Craftwork Cards. I cut the aperture with my Nestabilities and mounted some Acetate to the inside of the card. Sorry about the picture it is really dark here today and the flash keeps coming on and reflecting in the Acetate..

My Secret sister...

Well.... I don't really need to reveal who my secret sister was as she sussed me out as soon as she received her goodies. I don't know how... but she did. But for everyone else my secret sister was Julie. These are the goodies I sent her and as she is a SU demo I think I had quite a hard job. If you would like any Stampin up Goodies pop over and take a look at her fabulous blog and tell her what you would like. She provides a great service.

Candle Box Tutorial.

Firstly take a piece of card that measures 14 cm x 14 cm. Then measure and score a line from each side measuring 1.5 Inches in depth as shownThen cut along the line to the meeting point to creat 4 tabs
Then fold along your score lines and glue the tabs to the inside of your box as shown
Your box should then look like this.
Then as shown below score every 6.3 cm along the bootom of an A4 piece of Acetate to create the four sides of your box. Trim the remainder to measure one inch.
On the remaining inch place small glue dots down this edge and glue to create a square box
as shown here

Then place a glue dot on the bottom of each side of your acetate on the outside and then slide into your card box. (Acetate should be on the inside of your box)
Then push the sides of the acetate in at the top to create a fold and use a Cropadile to punch the holes for your ribbon as shown below.

Thread your ribbon through the holes and tie in a bow.

Then to finish take a piece of coloured card measuring 2 and a quarter inches and at the top use a punch to create a decorative edge. This piece of card should be anout 27 cm long to stick around the bottom outside of your box. Always make sure that the seems are both at the back of your box. I hope everyone is able to understand what I mean... lol. If you don't please feel free to email me at maricardmaking@hotmail.co.uk
