Ink pad storage

Here is how I stote all my ink pads, tools and some pens and brushes. The ink pad rack was purchased from Storage solutions. The shelves are removable. The pots and rails are from IKEA and these are great for storing pens and things that you can just reach for whilst you sitting crafting at your desk.

Hope you are all having a good weekend

Order has been restored!!

Well the mess has gone and my craft room is I store some of my things, but blogger will only let me upload photos 2 at a time for some reason so the card I made and some other pics will have to go in seperate posts. Here is my desk where I do all of my crafting. I have a large cutting mat that cover the whole desk to protect it and then a small one on top to work on.

And here is a view of my Expedit unit that I got from IKEA. My craft room is quite hard to photograph due to the size and layout but I will add more photos in another post straight after this one. Will be straight back with another post.

Oh dear!!

Well long time no blog! I have been neglecting my little blog of late, there just doesn't seem to be enough hours in the day. Tonight I spent an hour or so in my craft room making a card and look what happened! lol. Why can't us crafters seem to be able to craft in a tidy manner? This mess took less than a hour to make and was created by making one card....yes ONE card. You can also guarantee that firstly it's not going to be as much fun packing it all away and secondly it's going to take longer to pack away than it did to make the mess in the first place.I hope i'm not the only one that makes this kind of mess lol. I will be back tomorrow to show the card I made. The lighting is not that great to take a good picture of it at the moment. Mainly due to the fact that it is nearly midnight lol. So it is off to bed for me and will be back in the morning.

Good night

It's a wrap!! part 2

Hi all, hope you are all getting used to this colder weather! Well today I made a start on the homemade christmas paper I want to make. For this paper I am using brown parcel paper from WHSmith. The snowflake stamps are from Wildrose studios and are stamped in Versafine ink in Vintage sepia. It's always good to start stamping with your largest stamp and then use the smaller ones to fill in the gaps.

You can see I am using four different sized snowflakes for my paper. These are the same stamps I used on the tags in my last post.

And to finish I used one of my handmade tags and I have made some Tim Holtz rosettes to use instead of parcel bows. Hope you like these. I am going to be doing some more of the same design but this time I am going to change the colour ink to Crimson Red.

Hope you have a good day. Thanks for stopping by

It's a wrap!!

Well with christmas fast approaching I decided it was time I got myself organised, I need to make a start on making my christmas cards and I also decided that this year I would make all my own wrapping paper and gift tags. Tonight I decided to start on the gift tags. For the tags I have used Ivory Southfield Super Smooth card, Kraft Cardstock, Snowflake stamps by Wild rose Studios, Vintage sepia Versafine Ink pad and some Brown stripe bakers twine and some gold bells.Firstly I punched some circles of Ivory card with a 13/4 " circle punch and then stamped a medium snowflake with Brown ink. Then I punched some 2" scallop circles out of Kraft Cardstock and then matted them together. Then with a tag shape die I cut the tags out of Ivory super smooth card and stamped the greeting and small snowflakes on them. I then mounted the matted snowflake circles onto the tag with 3D foam pads. To finish I tied a bell onto the card with a piece of bakers twine.

And here are the finished Items, of course I still have many more to make lol, but at least I have made a start on this mamouth task!!

Hope you have a lovely weekend.

Another Christmas card

Good afternoon everyone, I have finally managed to get blogger to upload some photos, I have been trying to post them for an hour and for some reason it just wasn't working. I think there might have been Gremlins in the system lol. Anyway here is a card I made last night. The stamp is a magnolia stamp and it is called Tilda with fir tree. I coloured the image with Pro markers and it is mounted to the card with 3D foam pads.

The flowers are a mixture of silk, paper and resin flowers and I have edged them with clear stickles Glitter glue to make them sparkle. I have also used stickles around the sentiment and on Tildas tree, although the camera doesn't really show the sparkle that well. I hope you like this little card and hope you all have a wonderful weekend.

Christmas cards

Hi Everyone, I hope you have all had a great weekend. Mine has been quite busy, Firstly I have been making some card sample for some upcoming classes and then preparing for this weeks classes at the craftroom Newton Abbot. After everything was done for this week I decided it was time I tried to get some of my christmas cards done. Christmas always seems to creep up on me all of a sudden and then it is a mad panic to get them done.So anyway I managed to get 2 christmas cards made, One for a little Girl and one for a little boy. These are for my friends children and they will have their names on them when they recieve them. I haven't added the names yet as it will give the game away about who they are for.

I also managed to start my christmas shopping today!! I now have 2 presents bought! lol , well at least it is a start. Well thats me for now.

Happy crafting and thanks for stopping by
